Outside research lists 1829 Monroe Co., PA. BAS 3/9/02 He was a Potter. ⁽⁴⁾⁽⁵⁾ From writings of John T. States, Samuel was a potter by trade. He was buried in Painter Farm Cem, Indiana Co., PA. The 1880 Census for Canoe Twp., Indana Co., PA. lists the father and mother of Adam States as having been born in New Jersey.
